BOTH Merbein Football Netball Club and Mildura Rural City Council are hopeful the Kenny Park netball courts will be ready as early as possible.
The council has set a May 1 completion date for the upgrade – involving a second court and lighting at the Merbein home ground – which falls just three days after Merbein is scheduled to host Imperials in round 3 of the SFNL season.
A council spokeswoman said the club had been kept informed throughout the process and the date was reliant on suitable weather for the curing of the new court, plus the contractor’s availability to conduct the extensive work at the site.
