New midfielders boost confidence among Red Cliffs’ ranks: Tigers on the prowl

THE recruitment of a quartet of midfield weapons has “driven standards” within the playing group at Red Cliffs, co-coach Ashley Connick says.

Red Cliffs this week announced the signing of former South Adelaide footballer Todd McKay, who played state football for South Australia at the under 16 and under 18 levels and attended the AFL draft combine in 2011.

After an injury-interrupted year, McKay joins North Adelaide SANFL midfielder Jake Liston and the gun Meningie on-ball pair Myles Warmington and Brian Fenton, who will be a playing co-coach next season, at Quandong Park.
