AFL draft: New Eagle Brander ‘can’t wait’

JARROD Brander can’t wait to learn from key position players Josh Kennedy and Jeremy McGovern at West Coast.

The Wentworth junior admits he was “shocked” to be selected by the Eagles at No.13 in the AFL national draft on Friday night but thrilled to today be joining the club he grew up supporting.

Versatile tall Brander, who flew to Perth last night, said the Eagles’ talented list and the opportunity to play at their newly constructed Perth Stadium made for an exciting move.
