Caldwell, Russell to coach Demons

MILDURA 2017 assistant coach Heath Caldwell will step into the senior coaching role at Mildura – but he will have lots of help.

The 24-year-old former North Adelaide midfielder will jointly coach the Demons with the experienced Garth Russell.

Russell, 45, comes to the club after a long and successful career including two Murray Football League flags with Deniliquin and the 2009 Central Murray Football League flag with Balranald as well as a stint as a playing coach with Tooleybuc-Manangatang in the CMFL.

The pair will take over from Mark Alvey, who left the post at the end of the season.
