MERBEIN will announce its new SFNL senior coach this evening at the club’s presentation night.
Magpies president Toney Hurley said the club had been working throughout 2017 to replace the outgoing Peter Johns, who had decided to step back from the commitments of coaching at the conclusion of the club’s 2017 campaign.
“We had someone in mind the whole way through,” Hurley said.
“We targeted him and got him on board … we were working on it throughout the year.”
