Don’t look back: Kangas coach says Ouyen United won’t underestimate Irymple

OUYEN United coach Andy Jardine says the past is the past, Saturday is all that matters going into the SFNL grand final at City Oval.

Leading his troops into a second successive decider looking to go back to back, Jardine said the form book should be thrown out regarding his side’s good record against Irymple in 2017.

Jardine’s Kangas won both meetings against the Swallows in the regular season but, especially after his side beat Mildura in the second semi-final after two minor round losses to the Demons, the Sunraysia Daily Team of the Year vice-captain said that wouldn’t count for much.

“Past results don’t mean anything for us,” Jardine said.
