IT was the loss Irymple had to have.
After knocking off Mildura in round 2 at home, Irymple travelled to City Oval in round 11 with their tails up.
Two and a half hours later it was between their legs, trudging off after a humiliating 64-point defeat where the Swallows kicked just six goals for the entire match.
Going into today’s SFNL preliminary final at the same venue against the same opponent, Swallows midfield star Daniel Coghlan said the entire team was disappointed in their efforts that day.
