Marto: Another tense wait

A DECISION on the fitness of McLeod medallist Josh Martin for Mildura’s preliminary final against Irymple is expected to be made today.

The Mildura captain claimed the 2017 SFNL best and fairest award with 19 votes, three ahead of teammate Andrew Richardson, Irymple midfielder Dan Coghlan and Imperials key forward Adam Hartlett, on Wednesday night.

But Martin remains under an injury cloud ahead of tomorrow’s preliminary final with a hamstring complaint suffered last weekend and admitted he did not know whether he would play.
