
MILDURA will be sweating on the fitness of captain Josh Martin after the McLeod Medal fancy went off with hamstring tightness in his side’s second semi-final loss to Ouyen United at City Oval on Saturday.
Martin, although well held throughout the day by Ouyen United’s Jacob Grigg, was a big loss in the final quarter for the Demons with the Kangas charging hard.
Mildura coach Mark Alvey said yesterday the club would wait and see whether Martin, who had hamstring trouble earlier in the year, would be right go for Saturday’s SFNL preliminary final with Irymple.
