IMPERIALS coach Brad Hards believes the SFNL yellow card system needs to be looked at after being sent from the field at the weekend over an incident in which he was ultimately found not guilty.
Hards was reported for allegedly carelessly striking Mildura’s Dylan Murphy and sent off during the last quarter of his side’s season-ending loss to the Demons on the weekend, only to be cleared by the tribunal on Wednesday night.
Hards said yellow cards should be applied only in serious incidents.
“Unless it is something really serious – like you come across and king-hit somebody or something really obvious that has been so bad you should be sent off the ground – I think that’s the only time you should get a card,” Hards said.
