WHEN the final siren sounds today at George Gordon Oval, it will mark the end of the career of one of Wentworth’s favourite sons.

At 38, and after more than 300 games in the red, white and blue, Roos defender Austin Rigby will hang up the boots after his club’s final match of the season against Robinvale/Euston.
Yesterday Rigby said he didn’t feel any different about it but imagined today as he prepares to play his final game the reality would set in.
“It hit home a bit (on Thursday) at my last training session,” he said.
“I had a bit of a chat to the group before training, that was a bit tough speaking to the blokes. You don’t think it would be but it actually was.”
