A TENACIOUS four-quarter effort from a united and committed Wentworth outfit blew away their more fancied Mildura opponents in windy conditions at George Gordon Oval.
The Roos had 21 contributors all day and were harder at the footy than Mildura, who lacked the appetite for the contest and were not able to adjust their game plan to the scrappy slog required.
Wentworth coach Bernard Rigby praised his side for what he described as their best win of the year.
“Coming off last week (against South Mildura), we were very disappointed but we were confident going in today knowing that we match up well against Mildura,” he said.
