SOUTH Mildura junior Robbie Tarrant’s 100th AFL game didn’t go the way he’d have liked.
The North Melbourne best and fairest-winning key defender and his side were crushed by 70 points at Adelaide Oval to compound North Melbourne’s miserable 2017 so far.
On the back of a brilliant eight-goal first quarter, the Power were never seriously challenged in disposing of the injury-depleted Kangaroos – 19.13 (127) to 8.9 (57) – in front of a crowd of 34,138.
Despite the loss, the milestone was a good chance for the club to reflect on the contribution Tarrant had made – and was still making – in his time at Arden Street.
