Round’s hope: Sunraysia Football Netball League wants more indigenous rounds despite Mallee District Aboriginal Services deal expiring

THE SFNL is still committed to holding a full indigenous round going forward despite the league’s three-year partnership with Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) ending at the weekend.

MDAS came on board in 2015 to support the idea of a league-wide indigenous round, providing a set of guernseys and netball dresses for each club as well as balls to be used and has played a major role in the initiative’s success.

SFNL administration manager Peter Walker said the league would sit down with MDAS in the near future to discuss plans for 2018 and beyond.
