THIS time last year Tylar Atkinson was a big part of Imperials’ push to an under-14 Sunraysia Junior Football League flag.
Now the 15-year-old can call himself a senior SFNL footballer after debuting in the Green and Whites’ 28-point upset of reigning premiers Ouyen United at Blackburn Park on Saturday.
Atkinson, who didn’t turn 15 until after round 3 this year, said he was nervous in the lead-up to the game but quickly found his feet playing at either end and on the wing.
