JAMES McGlashan is always ready for a fight.

The Mildura MMA fighter never knows when he’ll get called up for a bout and trains, meticulously and almost religiously, to ensure when it happens, he’s in a position to win.
The training paid off on Friday night when the 25-year-old featherweight was up against the highest-rated opponent he had faced in Melbourne fighter Aidan Aguilera. McGlashan won the fight at Hex Series 9 – a remarkable result given Aguilera’s previous 100 per cent record, which included a streak of three consecutive first-round KOs.
