Dog has his day

AT the final siren of Saturday’s droughtbreaking South Mildura SFNL win over Merbein, Dallas Holmes resisted the temptation of rubbing it in his older brother Tristan’s face.

A week after 20-year-old Magpies utility Tristan was nominated as the Mildura Real Estate Rising Star of the Week, 18-year-old forward Dallas kicked three goals and was one of the Bulldogs’ best in their win over his brother’s side.

But instead of using the opportunity to put one over his older brother, Dallas was humble in victory.
