Crunch time: Merbein coach issues stern warning to his charges

MERBEIN coach Peter Johns has issued a challenge to his depleted side ahead of this weekend’s David v Goliath SFNL clash with Mildura at Kenny Park.

Facing a side that has smashed the Magpies by an average margin of 70 points in every match they have played since 2015, Johns said now was the time for his charges to stand up and be counted to show they still care.

“Over the past few years we’ve actually struggled to hold Mildura with our best side,” Johns said.
