THE Liberal Party's Mildura branch has supported a motion for a federal royal commission into the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.

Mildura branch president Russell Lamattina was unable to attend the Liberal state council meeting in Ballarat on Saturday, but said he was told the motion had passed in majority.
