THE NSW Electoral Commission has announced the times when pre-poll and early voting will be available for the Wentworth Local Government election.
For those unable to make it to a polling place on election day — Saturday, September 14 — there are options for postal or early voting.
Postal vote applications are now open, and must be applied for before 5pm Monday, September 9.
Application forms can be found online at www.elections.nsw.gov.au.
Eligible voters can also opt to vote in person one week before election day, in the Shire’s lone pre-poll venue, the Wentworth Town Hall.
The Town Hall will be open for pre-poll and early voting between 9am and 6pm on Saturday, September 7.
Between Monday, September 9 and Thursday, September 12 early voting will be available between 8.30am and 5.30pm, as well as between 8.30am to 6pm on Friday, September 13.
Enrolled voters who choose not to use postal or early voting options are required to vote on election day at one of three voting locations, at either the Wentworth Town Hall, Dareton Public School or Midway Community Centre.
Voting is compulsory for enrolled voters 18 years and over, and can be done between 8am and 6pm on Saturday, September 14.
