Candidate statement: Jade Benham (Nationals)

I’M Jade, the Nationals candidate for Mildura. I’m passionate about our region and I want to make sure we’re building a stronger future for our kids.

It’s time for a fresh start. With my team in The Nationals, we can deliver the change our state and region needs. I believe that Victorians deserve a government that represents all Victorians. If elected, I will be Mildura’s representative for all of the community – even for the ones who didn’t vote for me.

The Nationals have a strong vision for our region and a set of policies that will see us thrive.

We are committed to fixing the health-care crisis. That is why we have committed $750 million to building a new hospital in Mildura, and will deliver the extra resources to deliver the doctors and nurses to staff it.

Our regional infrastructure guarantee means 25 per cent off all new infrastructure spending will ensure our fair share for roads, rail, hospitals and schools.

And we will address your rising household costs with cheaper electricity and water bills, and more affordable public transport and childcare.

Our community can’t afford another four years of Daniel Andrews and Labor. The only way our state can head in the right direction again is to make sure we have a strong coalition government when we wake up on Sunday. None of us can afford a Daniel Andrews hangover.

I am asking for your vote, so Mildura can have a voice in the heart of a new government.
