Cupper billboard stolen from heart of town

AN election campaign billboard for Independent Member for Mildura Ali Cupper has been stolen from the heart of Robinvale.

The billboard, which was on display on the main road through town ahead of the November 26 state election, was noticed missing by Ms Cupper and her team during a visit to Robinvale at the weekend.

“If you can’t win an election on hard work and results, you don’t deserve to win,” Ms Cupper said.

“I believe the people of Robinvale would generally agree with that.

“My record in Robinvale speaks for itself.”

Ms Cupper said her team were in Robinvale for the Great Murray River Salami Festival when it was noticed that the large billboard had been removed.

She said she would continue to focus on her campaign.

“Robinvale was neglected and taken for granted for decades, but not anymore,” she said.

“In four years, we have secured tens of millions of dollars for Robinvale, including more than $12 million for roads, more than $7 million for housing, and masterplan funding for an enhanced Robinvale District Health Service and so much more.

“My record represents a significant threat to my opponents which has been shown up. I suspect whoever is responsible for removing my billboard would be very conscious of that.”
