Mildura Council settled – Power and Reynolds in

BREAKING

MILDURA has a new-look council with five first-time councillors to spend the next four years in office.

The result was made public at noon before the formal declaration of the poll later today.

Counting finished earlier than expected with preferences helping to determine the make-up of the new council.

Mildura’s new-look council:

Glenn MILNE (First elected)

Ian ARNEY (Second elected)

Liam WOOD (Third elected)

Jason MODICA (Fourth elected)

Stefano DE PIERI (Fifth elected)

Mark ECKEL (Sixth elected)

Helen HEALY (Seventh elected)

Cyndi POWER (Eightth elected)

Jodi REYNOLDS (Ninth elected)

Councillors will formally meet for the first time on November 17 to elect a new mayor and deputy mayor following the decision of Simon Clemence and Min Poole, respectively, to not seek re-election.

Katie Clements, Troy Bailey, Kym Kingdon, Julie Waters, Dean Wickham, Domenico Capogreco, Gavin Sedgmen, Paul O’Neill and Angy Fikaris all missed out on election.
