MEMBER for Murray Helen Dalton yesterday declared the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party would run a candidate in the seat of Farrer at the next federal election in response to the government’s poor performance on water issues.
Mrs Dalton, who won the state seat from Nationals MP Austin Evans in the NSW election in March, was scathing in her assessment yesterday of the Federal Government’s announcements at the Bush Summit in Dubbo this week.
“After the summit in Dubbo, it’s pretty clear that (Prime Minister) Scott Morrison doesn’t understand the impact of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan to our electorate,” she said.\
