April Shepherd is an experienced journalist and editor with seven years varied experience; writing on everything from parenting, local government and infrastructure, to relationships, sex and crime. Boasting interviews with government executives, motivational speakers and a narco who worked with the likes of Pablo Escobar. A Tassie girl at heart, April lived in Melbourne for eight years where she freelanced for magazines such as Offspring and Fashion Journal, and edited Council Magazine for two years. In her free time, she loves to travel, op-shop, go on road trips with her Kelpie pup Stella, paint and be creative.
