AN unusual theft from a delivery van at Mildura business Phatty Boombah is a "kick in the guts" for the popular eatery.

Between Saturday night and early Monday morning, the delivery van's alternator was stolen.

Business owner Joshua Hamdorf said it was not about the money, but rather the principal of someone stealing from the Lime Avenue business, especially around Christmas.
