A MILDURA man in the grip of a serious drug addiction fled interstate to avoid detection on a raft of charges including dangerous driving while being pursued by police, a court has been told.

John Ross Wilson, 31, faced Mildura Magistrates' Court this week when he applied to be freed on bail following his arrest last month on the eve of further plans to elude capture, the court heard.
