AN Afghan man was in Australia seeking refuge for less than a week when he sexually assaulted three Mildura females, including a two-year-old child, a court has been told.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard 44-year-old Abdul Qayum Nawabi approached each of the alleged victims within three days and attempted to communicate with them in his native Dari language.
