A MILDURA man who assaulted a good Samaritan after he came to the aid of a woman suffering a mental health episode has been jailed on a raft of offences.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard 31-year-old Jade Fell had a "terrible" criminal history including firearms and driving offences and his prospects of rehabilitation were extremely poor.
