A WITNESS who described herself as 8/10 drunk when a house burnt down at Red Cliffs killing a 52-year-old man has told a murder trial she did not know what a "potential suspect" meant when he said "I'm the one who finishes a problem" on the night of the blaze.

Melissa Connors said she had been drinking "goon", or cheap wine, and smoking marijuana on the night of February 26, 2023, when David Butler died in the Indi Avenue house fire.
