Police seek clues on man's death

POLICE have renewed an appeal for public information following the discovery of a man's body at Wentworth.

About 9am on Thursday, January 16, officers from Barrier Police District were called to Log Bridge Road at Wentworth, following reports of a scrub fire.

During a search of the area, police located the body of 56-year-old Ian Lacey.

A crime scene has been established and forensically examined.

Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, which has been deemed suspicious.

As inquiries continue, police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Wentworth and Log Bridge Road over the past week, and who may have information, CCTV, and/or dashcam vision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
