A WOMAN who assaulted an elderly man with an iron bar in his Mildura home will not spend further time behind bars after a magistrate sentenced her to time already served.

Tammy Slater, of Irymple, this week admitted the assault in Mildura Magistrates' Court as well as theft and obtaining property by deception offences arising from the same incident.
