THE body of a man believed to be in his 50s has been found in suspicious circumstances in Wentworth.

Barrier Police District officers were called to reports of a scrub fire at Log Bridge Road about 9am on Thursday, January 16.

During a search of the area, police located the body of a man, who is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene was established for forensic investigation.
