A MAN accused of associating with a group of "very troubled co-offenders" has been told by a magistrate to reconsider who he hangs out with, and to wake up to himself.

Mikalem Mitchell, 20, appeared before the Koori County Court in Mildura on Wednesday, facing more than 40 charges.
