A LOVE-struck Mildura woman accused of assaulting the elderly mother of her defacto partner has been released on bail and warned not to go near the alleged victim.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard the accused was in the front yard of the victim's address this week when she became involved in a verbal argument with her defacto.
