A MILDURA man accused of throwing an axe at a woman following numerous assaults and threatening to kill her has been refused bail.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court heard the man, who this week applied to be released on bail, is alleged to have smashed windows in the woman’s home and car, and assaulted her multiple times leading up to the offending.
