AN Irymple man accused of impersonating a police officer just hours before he rammed a police car while driving a stolen vehicle, has had an application for bail refused.

Jason Baldwin fronted Mildura Magistrates' Court this week where he applied to be released on bail despite his defence counsel conceding the charges he was facing were serious and the prosecution case was strong.
