MILDURA police have reported a quieter than usual weekend on the roads with only one drink driver detected.

At about 12.54am on Saturday, a 39-year-old Irymple man was intercepted on 15th Street and issued a breath test returning a reading of 0.77.

The driver was hit with an on the spot $577 fine and six months' license suspension.
