A TONGAN farm worker smashed through the window of a Deakin Avenue home to escape police, Mildura Magistrates’ Court has heard. The 25-year-old man this week pleaded guilty to unlawful assault, assault, damaging property, resisting police and carrying a controlled weapon before the court on Thursday and was sentenced to more than six months’ jail.
