POLICE are investigating the validity of a kidnapping allegation after a teenager told police she had been held hostage.

A 15-year-old boy was refused bail after being charged with stealing a car, while his 19-year-old co-accused and alleged victim of the kidnapping, was granted bail on a car theft charge.
