ARSON chemists spent Friday afternoon investigating the scene of a fatal house fire in Mildura.

Mildura police acting Inspector Daron Hulls said a 93-year-old man died at the scene after firefighters pulled him from his Curran Close home, just off Thirteenth Street, about midnight.

His wife, who is in her 80s, escaped with minor injuries and was checked over by paramedics at the scene.
