A TEENAGER who was arrested outside Mildura Senior College on Wednesday has been charged with possessing a firearm and common law assault.

The 18-year-old man was arrested about 3pm after reports of a person carrying a firearm along Fourteenth Street.

Police said they took possession of a gel blaster, with the replica gun bearing a similar appearance to a real firearm.
