A new school year

AS a new school year approaches, I would like to wish our teachers, students, staff and families a great year ahead.

Whether you are just starting your schooling journey or heading into your final year, I hope this year will be a productive and enjoyable one for all our local students.

To those completing their final year of schooling, this is an important milestone. I encourage you to make the most of the year ahead as you prepare for the next chapter, whether that’s further study, training or entering the workforce.

Best wishes to all our students who are starting school. It can be an emotional time for the parents and carers as their children take the first step into their primary school years.

Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting many primary and secondary schools across the Mildura electorate. It’s always great to spend time with students and see firsthand the commitment and care shown by our teachers and school staff.

I have seen first-hand the dedication and tireless effort our teachers invest to support their students and ensure they are set up to grasp the opportunities of the future and contribute positively to our communities. Finally, to the parents and families, thank you for being such an important part of your child’s education. Your support makes a huge difference, and I encourage everyone to stay involved and connected with our schools and teachers throughout the year.

I look forward to staying connected with our school communities throughout the year and I remain committed to advocating for the resources and support our schools deserve.
