Volunteer need

I HAD occasion to talk to a volunteer at Vinnies in Lime Avenue, Mildura today.

This was the only charity shop that I could find that would take my donations.

When I said this to this lady, she said it was probably because they cannot find any volunteers to do the sorting. This is why no one can find any where to donate goods to.

My understanding is that if there were enough volunteers to help with the sorting, then more donations could be taken. I always see comments on social media, asking where donations can be taken.

Perhaps at this time of the year, it might be great to see if there is or could be enough goodwill to go around for people to volunteer, even if only for a few hours a week.

Some people may only need a nudge.

This could be a “good news” story.

Have a great Christmas, from a “paper” reader.
