LA TROBE University nursing student Neil Munez is thrilled he's landed his dream job at Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) – but regrets he's had to leave his family behind in the Philippines.

Mr Munez will soon scrub up for the first time as a graduate nurse at the MBPH, after requalifying in Australia.

But before he got the call saying he'd got the MBPH job, he thought it might never happen...
