SUNRAYSIA'S Andrew Shurey has been the man charged with the task of ensuring New Year's Eve revellers send off the past year with a bang for more than a decade.

The 20-year veteran pyrotechnician has spent the past month or so in the planning and designing of Tuesday night's displays at the Nowingi Place community celebration with only the execution remaining to farewell 2019.
