A TRIBUTE celebrating the amazing life of "Merbein boy" Colin O'Reilly, who died in September, will be held on Saturday.

Mr O'Reilly, who grew up in Merbein, attending school at Merbein Primary and then Mildura Technical School, became a pioneer in mobile technology, with highlights including making the first call to Sweden from a mobile phone.
