A MALE pilot escaped serious injury following a light aircraft crash near Speed today.
It is understood the pilot, believed to be in his 70s, was attempting to land when the accident happened.
An ATSB spokesperson confirmed it had been notified of an accident involving an RV-14A light aircraft which ended upside down in a paddock.
The ATSB said it is still gathering further information into the circumstances of the crash.
The pilot was the only occupant in the aircraft.
