FORMER Mildura mayor Glenn Milne has resigned from his post with the local National Party branch.

“Let’s just say I’m disillusioned and leave it at that,” the Mildura councillor said when asked why he had decided to step down.

He said his decision to quit was effective “about 7.30 or 8” yesterday morning.

Cr Milne had been chair of the party’s Mildura branch.
