This Sunday marks 90 years since a breakaway group's plans for a new golf course came to fruition with Riverside Golf Club adding to numerous other golf clubs in the region.

ON April 27, 1935, a ceremony was performed and Shire President Cr R. R. Skeat officially opened Riverside Links Golf Club.
